A team of engineers and scientists at the university of Michigan has made a world’s smallest computer whose size is just one millimeter, it is a solar powered device and it is designed to go easily in to the human eye.

According to engineers of Michigan, it includes an ultra low power microprocessor, mini battery, a solar cell and little memory with wireless chip. Once the device is implanted in the human eye it would work as a remedy for glaucoma, which is a disease that causes damage to optic nerves due to the pressure from the eye and it can lead to permanent blindness. It is difficult to monitor.

According to the information, it can measure the eye pressure for every 15 minutes and it stores the information. It can be kept charged for 1.5 hours from natural sunlight or 10 hours from indoor light. The device consumes 5.3 nanowatts power. We can shut down it when we are not using. The components in the computer work even with low power and fit on the chip easily.
