According to PEW Research Project, 44 percent of online adults have searched for online information about services and advices that they want to inculcate on professional capacity like a doctor, lawyer or plumber. The PEW Research Project has taken the value of small business reputation management.

According to the Pew Study on reputation management and social media, about just 23 percent of the Internet users who are aged 65 or older research about small businesses online.

People who are likely to research businesses online:

  • 58 percent of college graduates research businesses online.
  • 58 percent of people who come under higher income groups i.e., people who earn $75,000 or more will go for research businesses online.
  • 46 percent of White Internet users will opt for research businesses online.
  • 49 percent of parents will research businesses online.
  • 49 percent of broadband users will research businesses online.
  • Wireless users who contribute about 50 percent will go for research businesses online.
  • 56 percent of social networking users will opt for research businesses online.
